Our Spartans are celebrating a year of NACC, NCAA achievements.

LEARFIELD DIRECTORS’ CUP
Aurora University was named the top Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference school in the final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Division III standings. The 75th place finish out of over 450 Division III schools was powered by nine Spartan teams in NCAA tournament play, which ties the school record, making it AU’s third-best showing. The Learfield Cup ranks intercollegiate athletic departments based on participation in NCAA Championship events.

BASEBALL
The Aurora University baseball team clinched the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament Championship. The championship earned the players an appearance in the NCAA Division III Regional, the 21st time in program history.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Championship returned to Aurora University this year. The team also represented the NACC during the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament after claiming the 2017–2018 NACC men’s basketball tournament title in February.

MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
The Aurora University’s men’s cross country team claimed its third straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship. Additionally, the team earned the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors.

MEN’S GOLF
The Aurora University men’s golf team claimed the program’s second Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship and earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship rounds.

MEN’S LACROSSE
The Aurora University men’s lacrosse team won the 2018 Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament Championship for the sixth straight time. The Spartans also made their sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championships.

MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
The Aurora University men’s track and field team won the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
The Aurora University women’s track and field team earned a trip to Birmingham, Alabama, in March for the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
The Aurora University women’s track and field team won the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the seventh consecutive year that the women have returned the crown to AU.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
The Aurora University women’s volleyball team appeared in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championships for the first time in program history.
