13th annual Project Linus blanket drive taking place this week

On Thursday, February 26, 2015 members of the Aurora University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Spartan Athletic Training Student Organization (SATSO) will sponsor the 13th annual AU Project Linus campaign.

The Department of Health and Human Performance, Wellness Center and Athletics Department kicked off American Hart Month last week by offering “Young Hearts for Life” electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings to AU student-athletes. The screenings test for problems with the electrical activity of the heart.

Aurora University recently launched the Spartan Strength and Conditioning Program, an initiative to assist AU student-athletes with individualized training to help them meet their performance goals.

KidneyMobile to offer free health screenings at AU

On Wednesday, November 13, the AU Student Nurses’ Association will be hosting the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois’ KidneyMobile, a custom mobile unit offering free education and health screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
