Aurora University repeated as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) All-Sports champion in women’s sports and received a second place finish for the title in men’s sports.
Aurora University recently launched the Spartan Strength and Conditioning Program, an initiative to assist AU student-athletes with individualized training to help them meet their performance goals.
Spartan spirit was recognized during halftime of the Sugar Bowl on ESPN earlier this month. AU senior defensive lineman Tyler Simmons was named by the American Football Coaches Association to the 2013 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, a program which honors football student-athletes for exemplary community service.
The AU Veterans and Military Service Association will be co-hosting its second annual fundraiser to benefit a local veteran during the AU home football game on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. when the Spartans take on Concordia University Chicago.
The AU community hosted Homecoming 2013 with festivities throughout the weekend, including a dedication of the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action addition, all-campus lunch and Arts and Ideas concert featuring jazz artist John Pizzarelli.
