Sophomore Kristi Zimbelmann on track to become an Aurora police officer

Until her second year in high school, sophomore psychology major Kristi Zimbelmann had every intention of becoming a teacher. But those days are long gone. Nowadays, whenever she’s not in class, she’s usually on duty with the Aurora Police Department.

After more than 30 years working in municipal law enforcement, Gary Bolt brings a wealth of experience to AU as Director of Campus Public Safety, a position he has held for over three years. Before joining AU, he most recently worked for the Naperville Police Department, retiring as deputy chief in 2012.
