Community members benefit from students’ accounting knowledge


Local taxpayers are finding relief from the stress of Tax Day thanks to Aurora University students. For the 13th year, the AU Dunham School of Business sponsored the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program over two weekends in March.

As the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program opens its 13th season this weekend, faculty and staff in the Aurora University Dunham School of Business look forward to another year of serving the community. The VITA Program takes place Saturday, March 15 and Saturday, March 29 from 8:00-11:00 a.m. in the Dunham Hall lobby.

Alumnus explores creativity through published writing

Since graduation, one thing has led to another for writer Toussaint Egan, AU ’13. His interest in the feature-oriented website Mental Floss, landed him an opportunity to write for its blog which in turn led to a contributing editor position with the art curation website AwesomeRobo.
