Katie Kather’s passion for telling people’s stories is resulting in professional accolades and personal rewards. Her experience in journalism began as a student in the Aurora University adult degree completion program.
“I came to AU because they offered me what other colleges couldn’t—a chance to connect community and campus while I earned my degree,” sayscriminal justice and Spanish major Ignacio “Nacho” Cervantes, AU ’14. Local taxpayers are finding relief from the stress of Tax Day thanks to Aurora University students. For the 13th year, the AU Dunham School of Business sponsored the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program over two weekends in March.
