Students excel during forensics competition

Preparation and hard work recently led members of Aurora University’s Speech and Debate Team to high honors at Tennessee State University during the Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament. More than 600 students from 25 states competed during the three-day tournament.

Go ‘Into the Woods’ on campus

Fairytales. A magical world. Wishes granted. This week Perry Theatre will be transformed “Into the Woods,” showcasing the largest cast and crew of any previous spring musical at Aurora University. The free production runs April 13–14 and 18–21.

Third AU professor receives Nurse Fellowship Educator Award

Three cheers for the Aurora University School of Nursing, which is celebrating the third time a faculty member has received the Nurse Educator Fellowship Award from the Illinois Board of Education. Georgine Maisch, assistant professor and simulation lab coordinator, is one of 10 Illinois nurse educators in the state to receive the 2018 award.

Doctor of Education student named DuPage Region Principal of the Year

While “Principal of the Year” awards are given as individual honors, Gloria Trejo views her recognition as a collaborative achievement. Trejo, an Aurora University Doctor of Education student, was recently named the Horace Mann/Illinois Principals Association DuPage Region 2017–2018 Elementary School Principal of the Year.
