This Thursday will be a busy day at Aurora University as students learn how to become active members of the campus at the fall Involvement Fair. Each semester the university hosts this event to give students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with campus organizations and departments.
“Getting involved is such an important part of college life,” said Brandy Skierkiewicz, Director of Student Engagement. “The Involvement Fair is a great way to meet people and learn about a variety of clubs. Our student organization categories range from social and general interest to academic and professional. There really is something for everyone!”
Skierkiewicz added that the fair will be a lot of fun. “We will have free giveaways, lots of activities and even some raffles for great prizes,” she said.
Students are encouraged to stop by the Involvement Fair, which will be held Thursday, August 30, on the Quadrangle from 11:30 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. In the case of rain, the fair will be moved to Thornton Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
