Mu Sigma Pi organization plans second annual Hoops for Hope event at Aurora University

Mu Sigma Pi, a service learning club for pre-health professionals at Aurora University, will be hosting its second annual Hoops for Hope event on Thursday, March 14 at 11:15 a.m. in Thornton Gymnasium. The club, which works to promote physical, mental and spiritual health throughout the community, has invited the Hope D. Wall Rockets Special Olympics Basketball Team from the Hope D. Wall School in Aurora to participate in a game against its club team, which includes Mu Sigma Pi members and members of the AU faculty and staff.

Aurora University students start new group to help support local military personnel and veterans

A group of Aurora University students recently founded the Aurora University Veterans and Military Service Association (VMSA) in honor of LCpl. Kyle Moser. Moser is a 20-year- old local solider from Oswego, Ill., who lost both of his legs while serving in Afghanistan.
