The eighth season of the Celebrating Arts and Ideas series continues with events that are free and open to the public. All events take place in Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration.

The National Council for Teacher Quality (NCTQ) released its 2013 Teacher Prep Review, listing Aurora University as one of seven Illinois universities on the Honor Roll. AU was the only private Illinois college honored, with its undergraduate elementary education program earning three out of the four possible stars.
The City of Aurora Veterans Advisory Council will host its first Veterans Fair at Aurora University on Tuesday, June 18. The event will take place from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in Perry Theatre, located at 1305 Kenilworth Place in Aurora. All veterans and families are invited to attend the free event.
Aurora University announced today that its Master of Science in Nursing program has been granted accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for five years, through June of 2018. A five year accreditation is the maximum number of years for this type of accreditation.
The Spartan Athletic Training Student Organization (SATSO) at Aurora University took first place in the 2013 Athletic Trainer Student Challenge for the Highest Contribution to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Foundation Annual Fund.
Dr. Mark Soderstrom, Assistant Professor of History at Aurora University, has been selected to attend three seminars this summer, each focused on developing teaching skills and enhancing the role of world history and cultures in the undergraduate curriculum.
More than 1,300 Aurora University students will participate in the 120th annual commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 5, on the central campus quadrangle. The ceremony for graduate students will be held at 10 a.m., followed by the undergraduate ceremony at 2 p.m.
