Aurora University recognizes Community Foundation in future Welcome Center

The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley recently announced a contribution of $100,000 in support of the Ellsworth and Virginia Hill Welcome Center now under construction at Aurora University. When completed, the Hill Welcome Center will serve as the central gathering place for prospective students, alumni and current students.


AU receives $250,000 matching grant from Gerald A. and Karen A. Kolschowsky Foundation to support John C. Dunham Stem Partnership School

Aurora University today announced a $250,000 matching grant from the Gerald A. and Karen A. Kolschowsky Foundation to support the construction and material needed for the John C. Dunham STEM Partnership School.


Neurology professor to present research findings on the mind of acclaimed pianist

“Mindplays of a Ragtime Pianist: A Journey into Brain Function and the Neuroscience of Music” will be presented at Aurora University next Wednesday evening by Kerstin Bettermann, associate professor of neurology at Penn State College of Medicine, and pianist Bob Milne Milne, father of AU professor Carrie Milne-Zelman.


Aurora University begins construction on Hill Welcome Center, Schingoethe Museum

Construction on the Ellsworth and Virginia Hill Welcome Center and the Schingoethe Museum at Aurora University began in mid-October, and is expected to continue for the next 10 months. When completed, the Hill Welcome Center will serve as the central gathering place for prospective students, alumni and current students.


Soprano Michelle Areyzaga to perform free concert at Aurora University

The eighth season of the Celebrating Arts and Ideas series continues with a performance by soprano Michelle Areyzaga on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration at 1347 Prairie St., Aurora, Ill. The concert is free and open to the public.
