Aurora University alumna named Social Worker of the Year


Mary Abbott, who completed her master’s degree in social work at Aurora University in 1997 and now teaches in the university’s social work program, was named Statewide Social Worker of the Year by the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Aurora athletes were  recently recognized for their community service work with Hesed House, a homeless shelter in Aurora.
