On Wednesday, Celebrating Arts and Ideas concluded the first half of its “Voices of Democracy” series, which featured Parker J. Palmer and Carrie Newcomer, New Sousa Band, Monica Crowley and Martin E. Marty on campus this fall. In its seventh season, the series has focused on bringing special guests to campus who offer perspectives on American government, patriotism and essential issues that are affecting our society.
The ‘Voices of Democracy’ series will continue with thought-provoking presentations and engaging performances this spring, and will welcome Alan Wolfe, David Schrader, Kay Redfield Jamison and Luis Alberto Urrea to campus.
All ‘Voices of Democracy’ events are free of charge and take place in Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration at 407 S. Calumet Avenue. Reservations are required. To register, visit AUartsandideas.com, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 630-844-4924.
