Once again, the Celebrating Arts and Ideas series has provided a semester of thought-provoking and entertaining free events for students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The fall semester featured Main Stage presentations by author Jon Meacham, jazz musician John Pizzarelli and soprano Michelle Areyzaga. Campus Showcase events included Third Thursday Concerts featuring professional musicians; films, such as “The Phantom of the Opera” with organ accompaniment; and the theatre production of “Trojan Women” as well as the Christmas Concert of the Aurora University Choirs.
The series will continue this spring with Main Stage presentations by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and the classical ensemble Music of the Baroque.
