The Aurora University community came together on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 for a candlelight vigil to honor the lives lost during the September 11, 2001 attacks. In addition to sharing reflections and music, a candle lighting ceremony and moment of science were held.
Following the candlelight vigil, an In Memoriam Faculty Recital took place in Perry Theatre. Joshua Baum (tenor) and Sungha Chi (piano) reflected upon World War 1, World War 2, The Holocaust, The Vietnam War, 9/11 and more. The performance featured the music of Gordon, Liszt, Britten, Poulenc, Wolfe, Simon and Garfunkle, and more.
