Although it’s the shortest month of the year, February might be the most important time to ensure college success. It’s Financial Aid Awareness Month—an occasion in which 98 percent of AU students can celebrate receiving scholarships or grants. It’s also an opportunity to ensure that students, prospective students and their families are able to make informed choices about financial aid.
“We really strive to make the financial aid process as painless as possible,” said Heather McKane, Dean of Student Financial Services. “We understand it can seem overwhelming and confusing. So we work one-on-one with students and their families to help them through the steps.”
During the next few weeks, the Office of Admission and Financial Aid will host events to share information about making college affordable.
