Aurora University turned into one big classroom this week for dozens of high school students who aspire to become teachers. The university hosted the Future Educators Association Summer Leadership Training workshop for student officers and their advisors from 15 area high schools that partner with the College of Education. The students shared ideas for club events and presented recruitment and retention strategies that have been successful at their schools. The workshop was organized by Future Educators Association of Aurora University coordinators Pam Ferdinand and Judy Maxwell.
