AU celebrating 100 years and counting as ‘Aurora’s University’

Shortly after I moved to Aurora in 2000, a local resident approached me in the aisle of a grocery store near the Aurora University campus. Apparently he recognized me from photos in recent publications and so felt comfortable introducing himself. He told me about his own experiences as a student at Aurora College. As our conversation drew to a close, he paused. And then he said something that has remained with me these last 12 years. “You may think of it as Aurora University,” my new friend observed. “But I think of it as Aurora’s University.”
