Retired Naperville Police Chief, David Dial, is the new Director of the AU criminal justice program

For 22 years, I served as Naperville Police Chief and much of my time was focused on molding the police department so that we were better prepared to adapt to constant changes. I retired from the Naperville Police Department in May, and as the new Director of the AU criminal justice program, it’s my previous experience that shaped my vision for the program’s future.

Mark Walsh to step down as Aurora University Athletic Director, focus on role as head football coach

AU's Mark Walsh announced today that he will step down as Athletic Director to focus on serving as Head Football Coach.

Aurora University has announced that Mark Walsh will step down from the role of Athletic Director this September to focus his time on serving as Head Football Coach. An alumnus of the university, Walsh has worked in a number of AU coaching and administrative roles since 1986, and as Athletic Director since 1998.

AU’s Kristie Brendel joins research delegation to Cuba


Kristie Brendel, Assistant Professor of Social Work, was recently selected to be a part of a delegation of social work educators form the United States to travel to Cuba. The group stayed in Havana June 2-10, 2012 and focused their time on learning about social work education and practice in Cuba.
