The AU community hosted a special Homecoming weekend with festivities commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the institution’s move from Mendota to Aurora. The weekend culminated with the Homecoming football game where the Spartans defeated Benedictine University 41-30.

Students devote service learning project to the American Cancer Society

Students are undertaking a service learning project with the American Cancer Society in which they will apply the skills they are learning to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

To further engage members of the campus community in the political process, students are invited to join faculty and staff in viewing the next three presidential and vice presidential debates.

Aurora University recently added a seismometer to campus, joining more than 100 U.S. universities and colleges as part of the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) project to further education and gather seismological data, including information collected from earthquakes or other tremors of the Earth.

Homecoming Pep Rally

00000Monday night, the AU community kicked off Homecoming Week with a Pep Rally in Thornton Gymnasium where Sammy Spartan made an appearance and the 2012 Homecoming Court was introduced.
