From the first days of classes to good times on the quad, there were plenty of campus activities during opening week of the 2014-2015 school year. As students connected with the campus, they also learned about opportunities to be involved at AU during the Involvement Fair, a fun showcase of campus clubs and services.
On Friday, June 13, Aurora University hosted the last of its summer AU4U Orientation sessions. At the event, members of the Class of 2018 met classmates and peer advisors, registered for courses, learned the ins and outs of campus and took the next step in their journeys to discover what matters at AU.
Nursing students participating in the May Term travel-study experience to Honduras saw classroom learning come to life, and were inspired toward careers as compassionate and community-focused nurses.
On Saturday, April 5, members of the Aurora University community eagerly gathered at the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action to participate in the center’s semiannual Morning of Service. More than 75 students, faculty and staff spent time volunteering at 11 area organizations, including Celebrate Differences, the Fox Valley Park District and Rebuilding Together Aurora.
Aurora University hosted its first AU4U orientation event for the incoming freshman class on Saturday, May 18. The first-year student program is designed to ease the transition from high school to college, providing incoming students with an opportunity to get to know campus, meet friends and begin an exciting new chapter in their lives.
