The culture was radically different. Poverty was ubiquitous. Local children had not eaten for days. Many did not have electricity or running water. These were the conditions eight AU students encountered in Mandeville, Jamaica, during their May Term 2012 study with Jeffrey Bulanda, Assistant Professor of Social Work.

The Phillips Library staff is passionate about reading and knows many Aurora University students are, too. To encourage dialogue among students and the AU community, the librarians started a Virtual Book Club through Facebook.

AU to honor Class of 2013 Hall of Fame inductees

Aurora University will recognize four Hall of Fame Inductees on Saturday, January 26, 2013 during its Hall of Fame Day celebration. The induction ceremony will take place during halftime of the men’s basketball game, which begins at 4:15 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
