AU senior defensive lineman Tyler Simmons was named by the American Football Coaches Association to the 2013 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, a program which honors football student-athletes for exemplary community service.

Athletic training students score big on certification exam

Aurora University has a strong athletics department, but it is the athletic training students that are behind the latest “game winner.” It was recently announced that the Class of 2013 athletic training students had an outstanding 100% pass rate on the Board of Certification (BOX) Exam, an exam graduates must pass after receiving their degree in order to practice in the field of Athletic Training.
