Athletic training is one of many fields that require a level of testing or certification before graduates can officially begin their careers. And AU students have proven that they are ready to move into the professional world by ranking first in the state in Board of Certification (BOC) Pass Rates over the past three years.
In January, Aurora University Online was welcomed as a participant by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) in the SARA initiative following the university’s approval by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE).
Aurora University recently announced the appointment of Mark Woolfington as chaplain of the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action. In July 2015, Woolfington joined Aurora University as the interim chaplain.
As part of the university’s growing commitment to help students prepare for success, The Spartan Attic, a professional clothing closet for AU students, will be opening in February.
Fall semester presented many opportunities for students to be involved on and off campus. Some activities complemented classroom learning, while others focused on service to the community, students’ well-being, sports, arts and fellowship. More than 40 student events are scheduled for spring semester, many of which are planned by the student-led Activities Programming Board.
