Amanda Cargola, a senior majoring in communication with a minor in graphic design, recently coordinated a “Spare Some Change” fundraiser at King’s Bowl in Rosemont, Illinois, to raise money for the Rosemont Helping Hand Program.

The Aurora University Theatre Department’s production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” now playing at AU’s Perry Theatre is exactly the right platform for the university’s first-ever musical, according to Stacy Panitch, associate professor of theatre and the play’s director.

Seizing the home field advantage

In recent years, the university invested heavily in the renovation of training, conditioning, practice and competition environments in or near Alumni Hall. And to ensure all of our Spartan teams experience a distinctive home field advantage, AU concurrently launched a search to identify a site for development of additional facilities.
