The Tellabs Foundation recently awarded $1 million to develop, house and provide scholarships for a new STEM education program at Aurora University that is targeted at high school students.
Until her second year in high school, sophomore psychology major Kristi Zimbelmann had every intention of becoming a teacher. But those days are long gone. Nowadays, whenever she’s not in class, she’s usually on duty with the Aurora Police Department.
Aurora University congratulates the more than 1,000 undergraduate students who earned Dean’s List honors for the fall 2016 semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or higher. Students recognized with high honors have earned a perfect 4.0.
For more than a decade students from Aurora University have teamed up with the local Salvation Army to help provide a more merry Christmas for some of Aurora’s most needy children.
