00000Almost 200 Aurora University students gathered for the first-ever Sleep Out on the Quad on Oct. 29, a full night of student-organized activities aimed at raising awareness for homelessness in the Aurora area.
Some brought tents, others set up cardboard boxes, and many just rolled out sleeping bags and blankets on the grass. One student created a rudimentary shelter by stringing a blue tarp to a tree and draping it to the ground. That was the scene just past midnight on Oct. 29 as nearly 200 Aurora University students gathered for the first-ever Sleep Out on the Quad.
