The stage is set for the spring choral concert where the Aurora University Choirs will perform in collaboration with the Fox Valley Orchestra and Chorus on Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Crimi Auditorium. The concert will be the highlight of the choirs’ performing season.
“April is my favorite month for all of the choirs,” said Lisa Fredenburgh, Director of Choral Activities. “They have had all year to prepare, so this concert represents the culmination of every hour of practice and thought put into the music. And we look forward to our second collaboration with Fox Valley Orchestra and Chorus.”
The first half of the concert will showcase pieces that the AU Men’s Quartet and Chamber Choir have practiced throughout the year. The Fox Valley Orchestra and Choirs will join the second half of the evening for Beethoven’s Mass in C major.
“I know the audience will truly enjoy hearing these three unique and different ensembles come together as one unified group,” said Olivia Crump, a sophomore choir member.
The Fox Valley Orchestra and Chorus will join the AU Choir once again to perform Beethoven’s Mass in C major on Sunday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m. in Crimi Auditorium. The Fox Valley Orchestra will also perform Beethoven’s triumphal Symphony No. 7 at the concert, which is part of its performing season. Tickets for the Sunday performance are available at the door or online at foxvalleyorchestra.org.
